Oddville is an unincorporated community in Harrison County, Kentucky, located on U.S. Route 62 about 5.4 miles north-northeast of Cynthiana.

It was established in 1799.

Origin of Name: The community was named “Oddville” in an attempt to satisfy postal authorities with a unique name for its post office. Legend holds that local residents were told to find a name “more odd” after a previous request (specifically to be named “Mt. Washington”) was denied due to similar names already existing.
