Alfred Warner To Robert S. Haviland

This indenture Made this Second day of May eighteen hundred and forty three between Alfred Warner of the County of Fayette and State of Kentucky of the first part and Robert S. Haviland of the County of Harrison and State of Kentucky of the second part Witnesseth That for and in Consideration of Thirteen Thousand Dollars by the said party of the second part to the said party of the first part in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said party of the first part has granted given granted bargained and sold conveyed Confirmed and released and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell Convey confirm and release unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns All that Tract of land situate and being in the County of Harrison Kentucky On the waters of Richland Creek and bounded as follows to wit by said Richland Creek on the west and on the North South and east by the lands of said Haviland to include ten acres of ground and to include on said quantity all the buildings of what is now called Havilandville being the place where said Haviland and said Warner are now engaged in manufacturing and merchandising also all the interest of every kind whatever of the said Warner in all the property of every kind belonging to or claimed by the said Warner and Haviland as partners under the firm of R S Haviland and Co whether the said property be real personal or mixed or debts accounts or choses in action at the said place or in the hands of their agents elsewhere Together with all and singular the buildings improvements rights privileges immunities and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining

To have and to hold the premises and property to convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part his heirs executors and administrators unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the property land and premises aforesaid and the appurtenances aforesaid will and the same hereby forever doth warrant and defend against all persons whatsoever

In witness whereof the said party of the first part hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written Acknowledged and delivered Alfred Warner

Commonwealth of Kentucky Fayette County to wit I James C Rhodes Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from Alfred Warner to Robert S Haviland was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by said Alfred Warner to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned which is hereby certified to the Clerk of the Harrison County Court for record Given under my hand this third day of May 1843 James C Rhodes Clerk

Commonwealth of Kentucky Harrison County to wit I Thomas B Woodyard Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from Alfred Warner to Robert S Haviland was produced to me in my office with the certificate thereon endorsed and was ordered to be recorded which with said certificate has been duly admitted to record in my office Given under my hand this fifth day of May 1843 Thomas B Woodyard Clerk By O F Rankin D C
