Surface Indications Have Been Observed Near Havilandsville for
Many Years.
Cynthiana, Ky., May 3.-[Special.]-D. N. Brannock has filed oil leases on the farms of J. B. and L. A. Applegate, B. L. and P. W. Colvin and R. N. and Zerelda Wright. The farms are located near Havilandsville, where there have been surface indications of oil for many years. Ohio people are interested in the Brannock leases.
Mr. H. D. Frisbie, of this city, who is the manager of the North Pork and Shannon Creek Oil Company,
report that the drilling on the Galbraith farm near Bridgeville, Robertson county, his been resumed,
a delay of two weeks having been caused by waiting for casing to arrive. A depth of about 150 feet has been reached.
