Man Missing From Cynthiana Since Jan. 27

Frankfort, Ky., Feb. 8. — The family of Robert M. Haviland, 40 year-old father of four who has been missing from his home near Cynthiana since January 27, has appealed to State police and newspapers to help locate him.

George K. Haviland, Frankfort, a brother, said the missing man was last seen at 10:30 a.m. January 27 at Herman Moore’s service station on the Leesburg Road. He was wearing brown corduroy pants, tan suede jacket, blue plaid wool shirt, gray sleeveless sweater, brown hat, and brown shoes. He is 5 feet 10 and weighs about 155 pounds.

He was driving a light blue, four-door 1954 Chevrolet sedan.

The missing man, a farmer, also is checkout man for the P. Lorillard Tobacco Company during the tobacco season.

The brother expressed fear that he might be either injured or ill.

Missing Man’s Car Found In Texas

CYNTHIANA, Ky., April 9 (Special) — State police reported today that a car owned by Robert Haviland, 41, who disappeared from his home here on Jan. 27, has been discovered at Amarillo, Texas. The report said the car had been sold in the Texas city on Feb. 3.
