When Hezekiah McKendree Whiteker was born on July 22, 1817, in Harrison, Kentucky, his father, Josiah, was 37 and his mother, Susan, was 37. He was married three times and had six sons and four daughters. He died on September 30, 1906, in his hometown, having lived a long life of 89 years, and was buried there.
