Richard King to Robert S Haviland – Undivided interest in 107.30 acres

This Indenture made this 25th day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & forty three between Richard King of the County of Harrison and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Robert S. Haviland of County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard King for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred & fifty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Robert S Haviland at and before the sealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained , sold , aliened , released & confirmed & by these presents , do grant , bargain , sell , alien , release & confirm , unto the said Robert S Haviland & to his heirs & assigns all that my right title claim & interest that I now or may hereafter have as heir of George King decd in and to two pieces or parcels of land situate & being in the County and Commonwealth aforesaid on the waters of Richland Creek as follows my Equal undivided one third part of 107 acres of land purchased by the late George King ( Decd ) from David Blackburn as per deed dated 10th day of February 1817 – also my proportion of .30 acres of land purchased by him from Thomas Pollard as per bond dated 8th day of January 1822 the said land being the same on which the said George King deed in his life time resided at the time of his death was lawfully seized in his demise of fee , – with all and singular the premises as aforesaid with the apperten – ances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold all and singular the premises hereby conveyed or intended so to be unto the said Robert I Haviland his heirs or assigns to the only proper use & behoof of the Said R. S Haviland his heirs or assigns forever and the said Richard King for himself his heirs or assigns doth & will forever defend the same against the claim or claims of all & every person or persons claiming by through or under him or them In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this day and date first above written

I Thomas B Woodyard Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from Richard King to R. S. Haviland was produced to me in my Office on the 18th day of May 1843 and acknowledged by said Richard King to be his act and deed hand , and seal for the purposes therein contained and the same was ordered to be recorded which is accordingly done this 19th day of May 1843
