This Indenture made the eighth day of December Eighteen hundred and forty six between Alfred Warren and his wife Harriet S. of the County of Fayette and Commonwealth of Kentucky and Robert S. Haviland and Mary C. his wife of the County of Harrison and State aforesaid of the first part and William S. Haviland of the County of Harrison and State of Kentucky of the second part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of Two hundred dollars by the party of the second part to the said parties of the first part in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first part hath given granted bargained and sold conveyed confirmed and released and by this presents doth bargain and sell convey confirm and release unto the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns all that tract of land situated and being in County of Harrison in the State of Kentucky on Richland Creek and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a stump on R. S. Haviland just below Warner & Havilands Wool factory referenced on plat at A. thence S 43 ½ E 42 poles to a rock in a pasture at B. Thence S 46 ½ E 16 poles to a stump and rock in a meadow at C. Thence N 43 1/2 W 33 poles to a rock in the first mentioned line to D. Thence with said line S 76 W 18 poles 19 links to the Beginning containing three acres and five poles together with all and singular the buildings improvements rights privileges immunities and appurtenances whatsoever belonging or in any wise appertaining To have & to hold the premises and property conveyed as aforesaid to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever And the said party of the first part their heirs executors and administrators unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the property land and premises aforesaid and the appurtenances aforesaid free and clear from all claims whatsoever hereby charged or encumbered by through or under them their heirs or assigns
In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day & year first above written

I Isaac B. Goodpasture Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that the deed from Alfred Warren and Harriet S. Warren his wife to Robert S. Haviland to William S. Haviland was this day produced to me in my office and the said Alfred Warren being examined by me privily and apart from his said wife acknowledged the said deed and voluntarily did and desire said writing to be recorded
Whereupon the same is certified to the proper office for record

The Stephen B. Lowman and J. W. Whitaker two of the Commonwealth Justices of the Peace for said County do certify that Mary C. Haviland the wife of the within named Robert S. Haviland and the said Harriet S. Warren appeared before us being examined privately and apart from her husband as the law directs voluntarily with her own free will relinquished her right of dower to the premises conveyed by the deed and the same is certified to the Clerk of the County Court of Harrison for record where this remains filed
